Putin: Russia forms 500 mln rbl fund for Moldovan agriculture
MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Russia has formed a 500 million ruble fund to support Moldova’s agriculture, President Vladimir Putin told his Moldovan counterpart Igor Dodon on Monday.
“The agriculture sector of the country has to fight the consequences of a drought as well. As per your request, we’ve earmarked the necessary monetary funds in the form of humanitarian help totaling up to half a billion of rubles in order to deliver diesel fuel to your agricultural companies that suffered the most,” he said.
The Russian government has already prepared the first tranche of the sum, and now it is waiting for the Moldovan authorities to compile a list of companies that would receive the money first, he added.
